Post Hurricane Lester Harvest Update

I am so glad that Hurricane Lester did not hit our island, but he did leave the farm with a few challenges.

In anticipation of Lester’s potential wind damage, our GoFarm Hawaii cohort had to clear the fields with any loose objects, which included our pop up tents and wash stations. We will not be able to set up the wash stations until tomorrow, which means I will not be able to harvest on Monday, 9/5.

I will instead use this time to clean up, plant, and assess potential problems caused by insects and pests who thrive in warm and humid conditions. I hope to able to resume harvest on Wednesday, but I will know for sure after tomorrow.
